PFI in Africa

PFI in Africa - We need your help!

Get involved with our new exchange partner at the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. Filmmakers help change the world and the first generation of university-educated filmmakers in Tanzania are doing just that. The young film studies program is in desperate need of film/TV books and videos to keep the program strong. Funding is short in this developing nation and a little from us goes a long way.

PFI director, Danny Boyd, taught Tanzania's first filmmaking graduating class as a Fulbright Scholar during the 1998-1999 academic year and returned during the Summer of 2002 with professor Steve Gilliland and WV State College student Hugh Canada to produce the movie “Duara.” An official exchange program has been created in the hopes of establishing an educational/cultural bridge between students, teachers and related professionals from both worlds.

WHAT TO SEND
